The list below comes from Dog Politics: List of 75 Banned or Restricted Breeds.
Some of these breeds I have not even heard of. Clearly, these are not "in order" - these are simply placed in alphabetical order. I'm sure you all know what the "most" dangerous/restricted/vicious breed is; Pit Bull.
TOP 10 dangerous dog breeds from Dangerous Dogs - List of the Most Dangerous Dog Breeds.
Why do you think they ban these breeds? What do you think of the media when they discuss a Pit Bull biting/mauling a child? Who is responsible (dog or owner)? Do you have a personal experience that changed your mind about these breeds? Discuss with us!
Dog bite statistics! U.S. Dog Bite Statistics is helping me (maybe you too) think/open up to these things.
The combination of pit bulls, rottweilers, presa canarios, and their mixes:

Breeds that have inflicted most damage (in order):
So what does this really tell us? Yes, though Pit Bulls has a substantial amount of bite records, does that mean they are all bad/dangerous? Look at the list carefully. You should see a few breeds that should shock you. Labrador Retriever; what does this tell us about our loving lap labs? They do bite.
--- Any dog is capable of biting. Any person is capable of reporting the injuries. Every dog has its own style. I'm sure if you look back to what was going on, you'll notice something that sticks out.
Pit bulls do not just randomly go up to someone and bite them. No mastiff will do that either. No breed of dog will randomly bite someone. If they attacked/bit you, there was a reason behind it. If animals could talk, they could share their side of the story. The human could have towered over the dog, making him feel threatened. Your body language, your tone of voice, how you moved (if you moved your hand too quickly) there will be a reason why they attacked.
Whose to be blamed? The owner of the dog? The parent of the kid? Or should we put the blame all on the dog since they can't tell us their side of the story?
People sugar-coat their stories and fix it to make it seem like they're innocent. It's just the way we are. So really, think about it. Whose to blame?
